    Okay. I'm not very good at identifying insects. Is this a dragonfly? What is it on?

      i'm actually not sure what this insect is. if anyone reading could identify it i would be very grateful.
      this is actually one of my archived photos from September of 2013.
      the insect was on the side of the house basking in the sun.

    It looks like some type of fly. Great shot, but I have to agree with Marilyn, it is a little bit creepy.
