it's october and the mountain begins to change from it's peaceful summer greens to it's bright fall colors. the aspens are now leafy torches.
on this slow stitch sunday i'm working a little bit on my second stocking.
maybe i'll use one of my fabric covered embroidered buttons on this one . . .

i have finished and delivered the first stocking. it will be auctioned in a fund raiser for our local family resource center.

Thanks for sharing your October with us, love those Aspen tree, we went to Aspen 3 weeks ago, thinking that we can catch the yellow leaves but this year is late, we missed it, so we might go again next year, thanks for sharing the beautiful sight with me though, as least I get to see them through your lens, thanks for sharing with us at Our Beautiful World! oh ya, I love your sewing projects too!

ReplyDeleteAhhh ... things that I missed most about living in the mountains are the big sky and the aspen grove!. Your gorgeous photo of the mountain and a glimpse of the golden aspen trees reminds me much of the foothills of Golden in Colorado, where I'd lived :). So thank you so much for this sweet memory. You make wonderful embroidery, love the stocking!. You inspire me to stitch again :).
